These sightseeing tours serves as a presentation for tour operators and friends and they require minimum 16 persons to attend to each sightseeing tour. Day 1.
Arrival to Vienna in the morning. In the afternoon you have a sightseeing with a local English-speaking guide in the Austrian capital. Accommodation is in a central located 4* category hotel. Dinner( 3-course meal) with wine tasting including 4 kinds of wines is in the famous Grinzing area, in a “Heuriger”.
Day 2.
Wachau Valley – Dürnstein - Krems
After breakfast the group has full day excursion shows the beauty of the Wachau, one of the most picturesque stretches of the Danube Valley. Through this romantic scenery, full of history and legends, the Danube winds its way past charming old villages and steep vineyards. The old castles are a sign of the former importance of this trade and traffic route and one of them, Dürnstein, is especially famous because King Richard the Lionheart was imprisoned here while waiting for his ransom to come from England, raised by his true minstrel Blondel. During a romantic boat trip history comes alive. The heart of the Wachau is the old wine-merchants town of Krems where we will stop for lunch at a riverside restaurant. In Dürnstein you have a wine tasting including 4 kinds of wines.
In the evening you have leisure time, overnight in the hotel.
Day 3.
Sopron wine region - Budapest
After breakfast travel to Hungary by bus. In Sopron meet our English-speaking guide and stop for a wine tasting including 5 kinds of wines with snacks and cold platter. Continue your trip to Budapest. Overnight there in a 4* hotel situated in the centre of the town. Dinner (4-course meal with aperitif and traditional Hungarian red and white wine, mineral water and coffee) is in a typical Hungarian “csárda” with a programme of traditional folk dancer’s and gypsy music.
Day 4.
Eger – Tokaj wine region
After breakfast travel to Eger with your local guide. The home of the famous Bulls Blood is an attractive baroque city. You have short sightseeing on foot in the downtown, which has monuments from the 150 years of Turkish period. Then go to a famous winery, close to Eger for wine tasting including 6 kinds of wines with snacks. The Thummerer is one of the top family wineries in Hungary. In the afternoon travel to the Tokaj region, the world-famous wine district of Hungary. Where beside some special quality white wines the „Tokaji Aszú” – this unique dessert-wine – comes from, which has been called since centuries „Vinum Regum Rex Vinorum” meaning „The wine of the kings and the king of the wines”.
Visit to the Degenfeld, one of the aristocratic wineries. The wine tasting (including 6 kinds of wines with snacks) is connected with a tasty dinner consists of 3-course menu with wines matched to the served meal. Overnight stay is in a castle hotel located in Tarcal. It guarantees top quality service and homely atmosphere.
Day 5.
After breakfast travel back to Budapest. It is little bit long journey but a pleasant wine tasting including 6 kinds of wines with snacks follows it. Taste quality wines from the best wine regions of Hungary in a Cellar Restaurant together with professional presentation of oenologists. Here you have an opportunity to buy these quality wines. Dinner (3-course meal with wines) is at the bank of Danube you see the exciting face of Budapest by night. Overnight in the same hotel you were accommodated on the third day.
Day 6.
Lake Balaton – Balatonfüred wine region
After the breakfast you leave for a sightseeing tour with your local guide to see a variety of sights the 2000 years old Buda and Pest offers for its visitors on both banks of the Danube.
In the afternoon travel to Balatonfüred situated at Lake Balaton with your local guide. Visit the wine cellars and plantations of Figula family. It was rewarded by the Hungarian Wine Academy with the title of “The wine producer of the year 2000 in Hungary”. Besides tasting the broad selection of wines (5 kinds) with snacks become acquainted in a professional manner, with the secrets of wine production and wine judging. Dinner (3-course meal) is in a country tavern with a wonderful view of Tihany peninsula. You will taste the owner’s self-made wines matched to the served meal. Overnight stay is in a 3* hotel.
Day 7.
Departure to Austria is after breakfast. Along the way you stop to have a lunch. Before leave Vienna you have leisure time for shopping.
Transfer to the airport, leave for home.
